The new T-Roc displays even more character: 12 cm longer than its predecessor, streamlined front section, distinctive bumpers and powerful lines. Its progressive, iconic silhouette is further accentuated by alloy wheels up to 19 inches in size.

LED-plus-headlights, a continuous light strip and illuminated Volkswagen logos front and rear characterise the striking signature light of the new T-Roc. Optional IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights and tail light cluster in 3D-inspired design ensure even better visibility and add stylish accents day and night.

The T-Roc also sets the standard when it comes to materials: The new T-Roc uses up to 40 kg of recycled materials.

Choose from three equipment lines –Life, R-Line Plus and R-Line Black Style with additional equipment packages to suit your personal style.

The interior of the new T-Roc combines modern design with outstanding functionality. Generous legroom in the second row of seats and an impressive loading space of up to 1,350 litres offer plenty of space for everyday life and leisure. The centre armrest with 5.5 litres of storage space provides additional comfort.

The central 32.7 cm (12.9 inch) touch display enables intuitive control of navigation, media and vehicle functions. Surfaces partially laminated with fabric, 30-colour background lighting, illuminated door trims, seats in ArtVelours in the colours Soul Black or Mistral Grey and the 3-zone Climatronic A/C system create a pleasant atmosphere.

The optionally available towing bracket offers a towing capacity of up to 1,500 kg depending on the engine type and equipment. And if you don’t need it right now, you can easily fold it under the bumper.
The towing bracket offers you a drawbar load of up to 80 kg and is therefore also well equipped for transporting electric bikes.

The optional tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof covers almost the entire roof and also offers passengers in the rear a virtually unrestricted view of the sky. The tinted glass keeps temperatures pleasant when the sun is out.

A little extra fresh air? The front half of the roof can be opened or extended fully over the rear part.

Driving experience control allows you to change your T-Roc’s driving mode with ease – from comfort to sport and back. However, you can also customise the settings and adapt them entirely to your needs.
Multiple settings can also be adapted at the same time with the Atmospheres function: available with the Ambient Package from background lighting to music playback through to custom presentation of the Digital Cockpit Pro.

Composition radio
Our entry-level Composition⁠ radio features high-quality digital radio with DAB+. Bluetooth mobile phone interface and two USB-C ports with a charging capacity of up to 60 W. Selected apps can also be used easily and directly with App-Connect via the 26.2 cm (10.3 inch) display.

The Discover infotainment package comes with loudspeakers in the front and rear to offer you an improved sound experience, and can be enhanced with useful functions such as navigation.
Connect your mobile phone wirelessly via Bluetooth, stream your favourite podcasts and playlists from the Internet and enjoy digital high-quality digital radio with DAB+.
You can use selected mobile phone apps quickly and easily via App-Connect with the 32.7 cm (12.9 inch) touchscreen.

Discover infotainment package
With the Discover infotainment package, you can jump in and use the navigation system straight away – without any detours. Speakers front and rear provide you with a better sound experience.
Connect your mobile phone wirelessly via Bluetooth, stream your favourite podcasts and playlists from the Internet and enjoy digital DAB+ reception.
With the 32.7 cm (12.9 inch) touchscreen, you can use selected mobile phone apps quickly and easily via App-Connect.
In addition to the touchscreen, you can also use the smart Digital Cockpit Pro. Along with the speed, you also keep an eye, for example, on the navigation map or the title of the track you’re listening to right now. Set the display very simply as you wish to have it.
The IDA voice assistant enables you to operate your infotainment system with your voice as well.

Harman Kardon sound system
With 8 +1 synchronised speakers, the Harman Kardon sound system delivers 480 watts of power and digital 12-channel amplifiers on every seat for ideal surround sound – and also offers precise bass tones thanks to the subwoofer. The system can be operated intuitively via the infotainment system.

Mobile phone interface with wireless charging function
Charge your mobile phone wirelessly at up to 15 W by just placing it in the front storage compartment. Your smartphone simply needs to support the Qi charging standard.

With the smart Digital Cockpit, you can keep an eye on everything important, for example navigation, in addition to the traditional displays (speed, mileage recorder). Adjust the 26 cm (10.2 inch) display with ease to suit your needs using different information profiles.

On a high-definition 26 cm (10.2 inch) display, the Digital Cockpit Pro shows you more than just the current speed. It can be configured freely, so you get to decide which information is important for you: for example the navigation map in full view, song titles and much more.

The head-up display projects important information, such as speed, navigation instructions or messages from the driver assist systems onto the windscreen – making them clearly visible in your field of vision.

IDA voice assistant
The IDA voice assistant enables you to conveniently operate your infotainment system with your voice. For instance, select the correct station, the address book entry you want or a telephone number. Start the function by saying “Hello IDA” and make the vehicle an intelligent conversation partner. The voice assistant also understands open phrases such as “I’m cold” or ” Where can I find nearby restaurants in Johannesburg?1”. It asks questions and can be interrupted. In addition, IDA uses digital microphones to recognise whether the driver or the front passenger is speaking, for example to fulfil specific air conditioning wishes. The voice assistant can also be seen visually on the central display and interactions can be tracked using graphics.

With two additional USB-C ports in the rear section of the centre console, your passengers can even charge a tablet during the journey thanks to a charging capacity of up to 60 watts.

The following park assist systems are available for the different models of the new T-Roc:

• Park Assist Plus
• Memory function for Park Assist
• Area View

Park Assist Plus

The optional Park Assist Plus system can tell you not only whether a parking space is big enough as you drive by – it also parks for you. Up to a speed of 40 km/h, it will search for suitable parallel parking spaces – parking bays up to a speed of 20 km/h. Once you have decided on one of the parking spaces found, you can start the parking process. Park Assist Plus takes care of everything for you: steering, accelerator and brakes. All you have to do is monitor the parking process. Park Assist Plus can also drive out of parallel parking spaces again.

Park Assist can be extended optionally with the memory function, making difficult parking situations easier for you: your vehicle can store individual parking processes and carry them out independently – ideal for garages and carports.
You only have to park or exit a parking space yourself once and store the process. The memory function can then repeat the process itself and you only have to monitor this.
You can save a total of five different parking processes.

The optionally available Area View makes parking and manoeuvring easier for you – in a 360° view, four cameras show you all around your vehicle, kerbs, parking markings and obstacles, clearly on the infotainment display.
Area View also shows you areas that are outside of your immediate field of vision, so you can even see “around the corner”.

Assist systems for enhanced safety for the new T-Roc at a glance

The following assist systems for enhanced safety are available for the different models of the new T-Roc:

Proactive occupant protection system

The optional proactive occupant protection system can detect potentially dangerous situations that could lead to an accident and automatically take precautionary measures depending on the respective situation.

• Can detect dangerous situations in the front, rear and side area.
• The windows and the sliding roof are closed to a small gap in order to optimise the effectiveness of the airbags.
• The front seat belts are tightened in an instant to secure the driver and front passenger in their seats.
• The hazard warning lights are activated.

The Front Assist emergency braking system with pedestrian and cyclist monitoring can warn you of potential accidents involving other road users and, if necessary, automatically apply the emergency brakes for you.

Front Assist can lend its support in evasive and turn-off situations as well and prevent an impending accident.

Front Cross Traffic Assist helps you when approaching unclear exits or junctions that are difficult to see – also with visual and acoustic warning signals or emergency braking if necessary.

From 65 km/h, Lane Assist can recognise if your vehicle leaves its lane unintentionally. With corrective steering intervention, it focuses your attention back on the driving situation and keeps your vehicle in its lane.
If you nevertheless go over the lane boundary, it will also warn you with a vibration in the steering wheel.

The following assist system for enhanced visibility isavailable for the different models of the new T-Roc:

• Dynamic Light Assist advanced main-beam control

Dynamic Light Assist

The optional Dynamic Light Assist can prevent other road users from being dazzled by your main beam headlight. The system can detect oncoming vehicles and vehicles ahead and mask them out from your main beam area. Dynamic Light Assist can also help to reduce dazzling from reflective traffic signs. On motorways, Dynamic Light Assist can detect vehicles in the oncoming lane and mask them out from the main beam area.
When driving in built-up areas, the system also automatically switches from main beam to dipped beam. This means that you can drive for longer and more often with the main beam on. Streets are thus better illuminated and obstacles can be detected earlier.
